A Tapestry of Holy Names

In Genesis, God created Adam "in His own Image, in His own Likeness". However, since we believe that God has no image or likeness, Kabbalists understand this as saying that God makes Himself known to us in our likeness by ‘clothing’ Himself in the 10 Sefirot of Adam Kadmon - associated with the 4 Letters of the Name of God יהוה (YHVH).
The 4 Holy Names in this 'Tapestry' are the same in that they all derive from the 4 Letters of the Name YHVH, but they are different in how these Letters are spelled out (the names of the Letters Heh and Vav can be spelled in different ways in Hebrew). And this gives them different Gematrias as well:
יוד הי ויו הי - Gematria 72 - the same as חסד (Chesed) meaning Kindness - and is associated with the Yod
יוד הי ואו הי - Gematria 63 - the same as נביא (Navee) meaning Prophet - and is associated with the 1st Heh
יוד הא ואו הא - Gematria 45 - the same as אדם (Adam) meaning Human - and is associated with the Vav
יוד הה וו הה - Gematria 52 - the same as בהמה (Behemah) - meaning Animal - and is associated with the 2nd Heh
The Holy Name YHVH is everything. It is the source of our lower, Animal-like nature; and the source of our higher Human spirit. We experience both in Time - זמן (z'man) in Hebrew (Gematria 97) which is 52 + 45. Prophets get a 'taste' of God's Love and Kindness which is Eternal - always Was Is and Will Be.
