The Torah teches that the world was created with 10 Utterances, ten times that God said "let there be.." in the beginning of Genesis.

According to the kabbalistic classic Sefer Yetzirah, these are associated with the "10 Sefirot of Nothingness" (the Hebrew words at the top of this picture).

These are experienced in a state of meditative consciousness call Wisdom.

The 10 Sefirot are shown here as 10 circles with small circles in the center of each one. Sefirot, are holographic, every one contains them all.

Thus each circle here is comprised of nine parts ( three blue, three red and three yellow) and a small copy of itself - tenth central Sefirah - Malchut.

The 22 lines that conect these 10 circles correspond to the "22 Foundation Letters" (the Hebrew workds at the bottom of this picture). These make up the thoughts and words of our ordinary consciousness which is called Understanding.
According to the Sefer Yetzirah, the Foundation Letters are arrayed in three groups: 3 Mothers (in the horizontal lines); 7 Doubles (in the vertical lines); and 12 Elementals (in the diagonal lines).
