The Talmud teaches that all who
recite this alphabetic Psalm every day will certainly enter the eternal world-to-come.
The text of Psalm #145 is written in this limited-edition silkscreen print in
26 circles that form a mandala, a circular design that is used in Eastern mysticism
to calm the mind. This mandala, based on six circles around a central circle,
is a sacred geomety that is found in many cultures, and is called the 'Flower
of Life'. The last word of this Psalm, HALELUYAH, is written six times around
the outside.
From Psalm #145:
A
PRAISE OF DAVID I will exalt You, my God; and I will bless Your name for
ever and ever. Every day I will bless You; and I will praise Your Name for ever
and ever. Great is God and greatly to be praised; for His greatness is unfathomable.
One generation shall praise Your works to another, and shall declare Your mighty
acts... God is gracious, and full of compassion: God upholds all that fall,
and straightens all that are bowed down. The eyes of all wait for You; and You
give them their food in due season. You open Your hand, and satisfy the desire
of every living thing. God is righteous in all His ways, and gracious in all His
works. God is near to all who call upon Him, to all who call upon Him in truth...
My mouth shall speak the praise of GOd, and let all fleshe bless His Holy Name
for ever and ever.
