The Kabbalah teaches various associations
between parts of the soul and our bodys organs.
In several places the Tikunay Zohar relates the lowest part
of the soul, Nefesh, to our heart and its hot passions,
presented in this poster in red with triangular Shins that
represent Fire. The next higher part of the soul, Ruah,
is related to our lungs and how they rise and fall with
our breath, presented here in yellow with round Alephs
that represent Air. The next higher part of the soul, Neshamah,
relates to the brain and its cool reason, presented
here in blue with rectangular Mems that represent Water.
The Tikunay Zohar teaches that if not for our lungs that
breathe upon our hearts cool Air that it brings down from
our brain, the fiery passions of our heart would consume
our entire body.
